Mario has become particularly recognised for his implementation of his HITT ethos at his academy in Pembroke. Expanding into another venue which is now open based in Tal-Ibrag, whereby he offers very high intensity and physically demanding coaching that lives up to very name and mantra in which is it defined.

Mario is a master of bio-mechanics and training with injuries and limitations. Skills he has honed for more than 50 years of playing.

Now Mario is a full time coach on the island and has prodigies in Conrad Puli and Luke Bonello amongst many others.

Mario implements the use of his knowledge of the international ITX program in his training which is an initiative governed by the top international coaches from the world to train not only the body but the mind simultaneously


Marios one goal is to put malta on the map for international success and stardom in table tennis.
